Riding Near the Bitterroot. The typical week begins with a short demonstration of our riding techniques followed by an evaluation of the guests’ riding style and ability. We have a broad selection of horses and it is important to your enjoyment that we make the best possible match between horse and rider. Experienced guides lead small groups, divided according to ability, on 2 - 3 hour morning and afternoon rides.

Video taped lessons are available on Tuesday and Thursday mornings for riders wishing to improve their skills. On Friday afternoons there is a friendly team sorting competition, which provides an introduction to working cattle. A final all day picnic ride is scheduled for Saturday. In July, August and September this often includes moving cattle to different parts of our grazing allotment in the National Forest.

The Bitterroot is open from MAY 24 to OCTOBER 1 with week-long stays running from Sunday to Sunday (except for the Fall Cattle Roundup and Pack Trips).

There is a weight limit of 200 lbs. for all riders.

An 18% Service Charge (covers all taxes, gratuities, and convenience fee) will be added to the total for all Bitterroot Ranch bookings. You may deduct 3% of the Service Charge if you pay by U.S. dollar check or money order.
Rates include accommodations, all meals, fishing and daily riding except for Sunday
Deposit: $800.00 per person
Former Guests receive a Special 5% additional DISCOUNT - JUNE 28 - AUGUST 30 (applies only to full week stays)

TRANSFER CHARGES: Round trip transfers from Jackson Hole or Riverton, Wyoming can be arranged. Please call for current prices.
